It creates a very glossy, flexible film that resists cracking, while softening brush strokes and slowing drying. It is an ideal choice for artists looking for a medium for glazes that stays workable for a long time, as well as for the thick impasto technique.

Product details

Brand: MAIMERI

Volume: 75 ml

Medium type: polymerized (thickened) linseed oil No. 652

Film properties: high gloss, flexible, resistant to cracking

Origin: Italy (the brand has a tradition dating back to 1923)

Weight: 0.23 kg

Pack: 1 pc

Use and application

The oil is suitable for glazes, thick impasto, and techniques that require paints to stay workable for longer. In small amounts, it prevents visible brush strokes. Thanks to its higher oil content, it belongs in the top layers of a painting, following the “fat over lean” rule.
