In brief

After drawing, glass and porcelain markers are baked in a cold oven. Most KREUL and Nassau markers are baked at 160 °C for 90 minutes, and then they’re dishwasher-safe. Darwi Armerina markers don’t need baking. For windows and mirrors, where you want to wipe off the drawing later, use chalk markers. According to the manufacturers, painted surfaces must not come into contact with food or drinks.

Glass and porcelain markers are the easiest way to label a mug or decorate a plate or glass without a brush. Below, you’ll find out which markers are baked in the oven, which air-dry, and which can be wiped off glass.

After drawing, leave the design to dry, place the item in a cold oven, and bake according to the packaging. Most KREUL and Nassau markers require 90 minutes at 160 °C; KREUL Porcelain Pen easy and the Hobby Line set require 30 minutes at 160 °C. Leave the item to cool in the oven.
