You can make jewelry at home in four ways: cast resin in silicone molds, shape polymer clay and harden it in the oven, draw a motif on shrink plastic and heat it, or string beads. Wooden bead sets also come with a cord.
You don’t need a workshop to make jewelry at home. Below, you’ll find what you can use to make a pendant, earrings, or a bracelet, and what you’ll need.

How to Make Resin Jewelry
Weigh Pentart Super Glass clear resin in a 1:1 ratio, mix it, and pour it into a silicone mold. You can add pigment or decorations to the resin, such as dried flowers, stones, or pearls. Remove it from the mold after 24 hours and let it cure for another 48 hours. Wear gloves while working. Find out more about resins in the epoxy resin for casting category.
How to Make Polymer Clay Jewelry
Shape Cernit clay like modeling clay and harden it in the oven at 110–130 °C for no more than 30 minutes. You can mix the shades. Opaline has a ceramic look after baking, while Metallic has a metallic sheen. Find all polymer clays in the polymer clay category.
Frequently Asked Questions
What do I need to make resin jewelry?
Resin, a silicone mold, gloves, a measuring cup, and a mixing tool; pigment or glass beads if you like. For pendants, molds with keychains or gemstones are in the silicone molds for resin category.
How much does shrink plastic shrink?
It depends on the type: clear film shrinks by about a quarter when heated, while translucent film shrinks by about 60%. Draw the motif before heating (you can also print it onto translucent film); lightly sanding it improves paint adhesion.
What kind of beads can I use to make a bracelet?
Use a set of wooden beads with cord (about 175 beads and 5 m of cord) or 6 mm flat rubber beads. The bead jewelry-making set also includes pliers, a clasp, rings, and earring hooks.
At what temperature do you bake Cernit polymer clay?
In the oven at 110–130 °C for no more than 30 minutes.
