How to Use

Four Steps from a piece of clay to a finished creation.

You don’t need a kiln, pottery wheel, or special skills. All you need are your hands, a little patience, and 500 g of pliable modeling clay in your favorite earthy shade.

Kneading

Take the modeling clay out of the packaging and knead it in your hands for a while — it will become soft, smooth, and ready to shape.

Shaping

Shape it by hand or with wooden tools. Join the pieces by roughening the surface, dampening both parts, and pressing them together.

Finished modeling clay projects air-drying — 24 hours

Drying for 24 h

Leave your project to air-dry. After 24 hours, the modeling clay will harden without baking, chemicals, or shrinking.

Painting the finished project with acrylic paints and sealing it with varnish

Painting and Varnishing

Paint your finished creation with acrylic paints or seal it with a finishing varnish — it protects against moisture and adds gloss.

No. Once hardened, Clay with me becomes stronger. Finished projects are hard and resistant to minor impacts. For maximum durability, use a finishing varnish or clear acrylic varnish.

Lightly moisten the surfaces to be joined with water and press them together. You can also use a modeling tool to smooth the joint. The fresher the clay, the easier it is to join. Work quickly before the surface starts to dry.

Wrap unused clay tightly in plastic wrap and place it in a resealable bag or an airtight container. Stored this way, it will stay pliable for several weeks.
