HOW TO USE

Acrylic paints are among the most widely used painting mediums, mainly because they are water-based, easy to work with, and dry very quickly after painting. You can use practically any surface as a base, including canvas, wood, paper, stone, clay, or fabric. The paints are best applied with brushes with natural or synthetic bristles, and they can also be applied well with palette knives.

You can mix the paints together to create new shades. A painting palette and palette knife are great for mixing paints. To create different textures, you can use texture pastes or gels in combination with acrylic paint. Use a palette knife to apply them to the canvas. After painting, simply clean the brushes and palette knives of paint as usual. Soap and clean warm water are enough.

OUR TIP

Since acrylic paints dry quite quickly, it is a good idea to keep a spray bottle of clean water or a damp sponge handy while you work. You can spray water directly onto the canvas or paper to keep the paint workable. You can also use an acrylic medium to slow down drying.
