The stiff hog bristles hold thick paint well, produce consistent brushstrokes, and leave bold textures typical of oil painting and heavy body acrylics. The short handle makes the brushes easy to use up close when capturing details and basic shapes.
Brush care is simple: after using oil paints, wipe off the paint with a cloth, wash the brush in solvent, then clean it with soapy water. For acrylics, soapy water is enough before the paint dries. After washing, gently reshape the bristles and dry the brush flat or with the bristles pointing down.
