DARWI TEX Fabric Markers

Special markers for painting and decorating textiles made from natural or synthetic fibers (up to 20% blend). Once dry, iron the paint from the reverse side or through baking paper. Set the iron temperature according to the type of fabric. After ironing, the paints are resistant to washing at temperatures up to 60°C and to ironing.

Features and characteristics:

• 29 shades, including 15 glitter shades,
• suitable for light-colored textiles,
• wash the fabric before drawing to remove the sizing,
• for dark textiles, we recommend first applying an underpainting with a light shade of fabric paints,
• set with an iron, following the temperature recommended for the material. Iron from the reverse side or through baking paper,
• after setting, the design is resistant to washing at temperatures up to 60°C,
• when washing, we recommend turning the shirt inside out.

Instructions for use:

• Prepare the textile you want to decorate. It must be clean so the paints can adhere properly.
• The paints may bleed through while you work, so it’s best to place something waterproof and absorbent underneath the fabric, such as a piece of cardboard. If you want to paint the front of a shirt, for example, place the protective layer inside the shirt. Otherwise, the design may bleed through to the back.
• Shake the marker before use to mix the paint. Activate the marker by pressing the tip into the marker. After removing the cap, press the tip against paper and push it down several times until it retracts into the marker. This punctures the seal that protects the liquid inside the marker from drying out.
• If you’re painting more intricate designs, let the paints dry between steps to prevent them from mixing.
• After completing the design, let it dry. Drying time depends on the size of the design and the amount of paint used.
• After using the marker, gently remove the tip and rinse it under running water. Leave the tip to air-dry. Store markers with their clean tips inserted only partway.
• Once the design is dry, iron it through the fabric (without steam).
