Flexible Wood 9 x 9 x 0.6 cm

Wooden Ornament, also known as flexible wood, from the Pentart art brand is used for decorative purposes. When heated to the right temperature, it becomes highly moldable, springy, and flexible. It is also suitable for rounded surfaces on decorated objects because it bends easily and retains its shape after cooling. This moldable wooden ornament is made from wood pulp and is suitable for painting, decorating, and scrapbooking. As a decorative component, it is also ideal for embellishing furniture, pictures, mirrors, boxes, bottles, and more.

HOW TO USE

Simply glue the flexible wood onto the surface you want to decorate. If you want to shape it, use a heat gun or hair dryer. Allow more time for heating when using a hair dryer. Heat it until it reaches the right consistency for shaping. If the surface is rounded, quickly place the heated flexible wood on the object and press it into the desired shape. Once it has set, you can attach it with a hot glue gun or craft glue. Adjust the flexible wood to fit the dimensions of the object by trimming it with scissors or sanding it with sandpaper. You can then paint it with acrylic paints and seal it with wax or varnish. Find out more about the product in the video below.

OUR TIP

To bring out the texture of flexible wood, we recommend using wax paste, metallic wax paste, or metallic flakes for an antique look. For a subtly distressed, patinated look, we recommend using antiquing paste. You can also glue flexible wood directly onto canvas.
