This Liquitex medium is extremely versatile. Used as an intermixable gloss medium, it gives a beautiful translucency and adds color depth. Applied as a varnish, it provides a hard, durable film with a subtle, non-elastic gloss finish. It also increases flow when used with thick-consistency paints.
Excellent product. I like its light consistency. It makes good glazes, enhances colors, and maintains opacity when mixed with thicker paint. It isn’t sticky and leaves a clear finish when dry.
I buy it in large quantities for glazing between layers and as a final varnish. It dries evenly in 2–4 hours on my large abstract paintings.
