Shrink film is a special film that shrinks when exposed to hot air and turns into plastic, hardening and becoming much thicker. It is used to make pendants, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, keychains, and many other decorations. Ideal for cardmaking, scrapbooking, and more. You can use the film to create any design in any color!
How to use: Keep in mind that the film shrinks by about three-quarters when heated. Draw a design or picture on one side, then color it in. You can lightly sand the surface with fine-grit sandpaper to improve paint adhesion. Once you have cut out the film, use a paper hole punch to make a hole for hanging, because the film will be thick and hard after heating. When your design is ready and cut out, place the film colored side up on a baking sheet and put it in the oven at 150 °C. The shrink film may curl or shift when exposed to heat, so be sure not to place the prepared shapes too close together. Baking is complete when the film has flattened completely (approx. 5 min). In addition to an oven, you can also use a Craft hot air hobby heat gun. You can use parchment paper, but it is not necessary, because once cooled, the resulting plastic can simply be peeled off the baking sheet. If you do not want the painted areas to get scratched, you can varnish them.
