Fantastic paper. The texture is incredible. It gives my work a fabric-like look that feels almost like working on canvas. The result looks professional and almost vintage. The paper is fairly durable and doesn’t tear easily. It holds up well to shaping tools and various erasers. It works great with pastel pencils and soft pastels, and the colors are easy to blend. Vine and compressed charcoal work beautifully on it, too. I highly recommend giving it a try.
In my opinion, it’s miles better than Canson Mi-Tientes as pastel paper. It seems to hold more layers and is more durable. Highly recommend!
For use with soft pastels. It can take a few layers, but not extremely thick ones. Great for quick, light studies. You can combine it with ink, watercolor pencils, or gouache as long as you don’t use too much water.
