MUSEAL Linen Stretched Canvas
Museal linen stretched canvas is defined by first-class quality. This timeless canvas is made from 100% pure linen, carefully stretched and coated with two layers of gesso. With a canvas weight of 400 g/m² and a medium-sized weave of 12.5 x 12.5 threads/m², it is the best choice for traditional artists and professionals. Oil paintings, acrylic paintings, watercolor paintings, and tempera works all look excellent on Museal canvas. It differs from the popular ARTMIE Profi Painting Canvas with its more pronounced texture.
Linen canvas is highly valued for the unique properties of linen. Linen is an exceptionally strong natural fiber. It resists abrasion and other environmental effects very well. If you want your work to stand the test of time and give it the same support used by the old masters, choose Museal, Italian canvas.
In Italy, the cradle of art, they know how to appreciate the quality of painting canvas. We chose a workshop that takes care of preparing the canvas perfectly for you. The finished canvas, stretched on a frame, is handmade in Slovakia by us at ARTMiE.
The universal preparation, with one layer of natural glue and two layers of Gesso, gives the canvas excellent adhesion for acrylic and oil paints. The acrylic Gesso dispersion also makes the canvas highly moisture-resistant, while preserving its flexibility and long-lasting binder.
Working on linen canvas is a pleasure from the very first brushstrokes. The wood for the stretcher bars comes from sustainably managed forests. The sturdy spruce wood stretcher frame provides reliable support for your work. The stretcher bars are 3.5 cm wide and 2 cm thick.
