Pebeo Gedeo Latex 250 ml

Pebeo Gedeo Latex, made from natural rubber, lets you model simple and complex forms and shapes, small and large bas-reliefs, or even masks, jewelry, and ornaments. The molds you create are very flexible and durable, and can be reused. Latex for making molds has a thick, concentrated consistency that is ideal for working with low-relief objects. Store for up to 6 months in an airtight container.

HOW TO USE

You can easily apply Pebeo Gedeo Latex to a prepared object with a brush. This method is usually used to create a mask or a mold with shallow relief. Apply several coats to achieve the desired mold thickness (approximately 2 mm). Usually, up to 5 coats are applied at 10-minute intervals to allow them to dry. You can use gauze or a bandage to reinforce the latex mold. Let the mold dry for 6 to 12 hours. Once dry, slowly peel the mold away from the object. You can pour plaster or crystal resin into the mold and let it set. Then simply remove the mold, and you can decorate the cast.

You can also make a mold or shape by dipping an object into Pebeo Gedeo Latex. First, dilute the latex with water in a 50:50 ratio. Then dip the prepared object into the latex for 2 minutes. Remove it and let the excess drip off. Repeat this process until you achieve the desired latex mold thickness (approximately 1.5 mm). Let the mold dry for 6 to 12 hours. Once dry, slowly peel off the mold by turning it inside out. We recommend using talcum powder to make the latex easier and quicker to peel off.

OUR TIP:

To make casts from resin or rubber, we recommend coating the inside of the mold with petroleum jelly. Before applying the latex, dip your brushes in dish soap for a moment. You can speed up the drying of each applied coat of latex with a hair dryer.
