Gutta Silk Resist by Pebeo is a thick, pearlescent, opaque, water-based paint designed to create outlines on silk fabrics. When applied to fabric, it prevents paints from bleeding while painting. Once dry, the liner paint has a pearlescent gloss effect. It air-dries in about 6 hours. Heat-set it from the reverse side for about 3–4 minutes. 48 hours after heat-setting, it is resistant to hand washing, while the colorless Pebeo Gutta Colourless resist is designed to disappear completely after washing.

I love this gutta. I’ve used it several times. A perfect choice for painting on silk.
I much prefer this water-soluble gutta to the colored ones. After painting and setting it, I hand-rinse the silk scarf and all traces of gutta disappear. I really love how soft and fluid the silk feels after washing out the resist.
