Schmincke Linoprint Binder 120 ml

Schmincke linoprint binder is a high-quality printing medium, ideal for creating beautiful prints with sharp details and vivid colors. This binder is made from a special blend of linseed oil, which helps it dry quickly and produce prints with a beautiful matte finish. It is also highly resistant to water and UV radiation, making it ideal for indoor and outdoor use. This binder is easy to use and suitable for beginners and experienced printmakers alike. Linoprint binder is ready to use, but can be thinned with water if needed. Grind a teaspoon of pigment and a small amount of the product with a palette knife to make a smooth paste. The mixing ratio of binder to pigment depends greatly on the type of pigment. Start with approximately 2 parts binder to 1 part pigment. Depending on the pigment, add more binder or more pigment to achieve the desired consistency. The ratio is right when the dried paint stripes have a smooth surface and do not flake off when rubbed with a dry wrist. It is an essential tool for anyone who wants to create beautiful linocuts that last for years.
