Schmincke Super Granulation Watercolor Set in Tubes, 5 x 15 ml

Horadam Super Granulation Aquarell Set contains 5 granulating watercolor paints in 15 ml tubes. The paints are stored in an elegant wooden case with the Schmincke brand logo. Artists are increasingly drawn to granulating paints because of the special effect they create. The paints may appear pale, but this effect is desired in certain techniques. Granulation means that the pigments in the paint “clump together” to create a pronounced, grainy surface. This fantastic effect is ideal for creating beautiful works of art! The paints dissolve easily and are suitable for all watercolor techniques. The paints can also be easily mixed with other watercolor ranges from the Schmincke brand. To increase the granulation effect and achieve unusual color shifts, simply mix the granulating paints. We recommend testing them first, as some paints are more dominant while others have a subtler effect. The effect of the color shift also changes depending on the mixing ratio and range of colors. As a rule, the rougher and more textured the paper, the greater the granulation effect. More absorbent papers require a little more water. Satin papers pressed with heat are not suitable.
