Umton Cobalt Siccative 3271

Umton Oil Painting Supplies

Umton Cobalt Drier from the Czech brand Umton is the best drier that could be made for oil painting. It is highly concentrated and contains 1.5% cobalt. It is added to linseed oil to help the paint dry faster. Add 5 cm of drier to 1 kg of purified linseed oil. One bottle is enough for 10 kg of linseed oil. For regular use, add it drop by drop. A larger amount of cobalt drier will make the top layer of the painting dry very quickly, forming a firm film on the surface, while the paint in the lower layers dries very slowly. Volume: 100 ml.
