UMTON Watercolor Paint 2.6 ml is water-soluble when fresh and water-resistant when dry. Suitable for painting on paper, wood, metal, or canvas. The technical properties of watercolors are similar to those of oil paints, but only water is needed to thin watercolors and clean brushes. They also dry faster. Once dry, paintings are water-resistant and do not rub off. Unlike oil paint, watercolor does not change and can be diluted until transparent. UMTON watercolors are more color-saturated than oil paints, and thick layers do not crack. Depending on the desired consistency, they can be applied with a brush, roller, or palette knife to any non-greasy surface. Some painting surfaces, such as canvas, hardboard, or cardboard, should be prepared with a coat of acrylic gesso before painting. The finished painting can be treated with gloss, matte, or metallic varnish. The suitable temperature for applying the paints is 10 – 30°C.
