Elastic Wood 10.4 x 7.8 x 1.1 cm

Wooden ornament, also known as elastic wood, from the Pentart brand is used for decorative purposes. When heated to the right temperature, it becomes easy to shape, pliable, and flexible. It is also suitable for decorating curved surfaces because it bends easily and retains its shape after cooling. This moldable wooden ornament is made from wood pulp and is suitable for painting, decorating, and scrapbooking. As a decorative component, it is also ideal for embellishing furniture, pictures, mirrors, boxes, bottles, and more.

HOW TO USE IT?

Simply glue the elastic wood onto the surface you want to decorate. If you want to shape it, use a heat gun or hair dryer. Allow more time for it to heat up if you use a hair dryer. Heat it until it reaches the right consistency for shaping. If the surface you are decorating is curved, quickly place the heated elastic wood on the item and press it into the desired shape. Once it has hardened, you can attach it with a hot glue gun or craft glue. Trim the elastic wood to fit the item you are decorating with scissors, or sand it with sandpaper. You can then paint it with acrylic paints and seal it with wax or varnish. See the video below for more about the product.

OUR TIP

To highlight the texture of the elastic wood, we recommend using wax paste, metallic wax paste, or metallic flakes to achieve an antique look. To create a subtly patinated, distressed look, we recommend using antique paste. You can also glue the elastic wood directly onto canvas.
